Ms. Faria Hossain Ms. Baisali Basu ... For the State. The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present criminal proceedings and upon completion of investigation, charge sheet has also been submitted and as such, further detention of the petitioner, who is in custody for about 200 days, is not necessary.

Ms. Basu, learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and draws the attention of this court to several documents in the case diary.

Having heard the learned advocates and considering the materials in the case diary, the nature of allegations, the gravity of the offence and the extent of complicity of the petitioner in the alleged offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

Accordingly, the application for bail, being CRM 10762 of 2020, is rejected.
