Mukherjee Mr. Arijit Ganguly ......... for the State The petitioners are aggrieved by the progress of the New Alipore Police Station Case No. 58 of 2017 dated 21.02.2017 presently pending before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore.

The learned advocate for the petitioners submits that next date is fixed for supply of copies under section 207 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

In view of the submissions so advanced, learned Magistrate is directed that on the next date fixed copies may be supplied to the petitioners so that the subsequent stages of the proceedings can be taken care of.

In view of the fact that the case was initiated in the year of February, 2017 and more than 31⁄2 years have expired. The learned Chief Judicial Magistrate keeping with the spirit of the provisions Article 21 of the Constitution of India relating to expeditious trial should progress with the case. With the aforesaid observations C.R.R. 1818 of 2020 is disposed of.
