Mr. Tapas Kumar Majumder ... for the petitioner The petitioner prays for a direction upon the Kolkata Municipal Corporation for considering the application made for obtaining the commercial water connection. It appears from record that an application for commercial water connection was made by the petitioner on 12th August, 2020 and sent through speed post. None appears on behalf of the respondent authority despite service.

As it appears that the application made by the petitioner for commercial water connection is pending consideration at the end of the respondent authorities no useful purpose will be served by keeping the writ petition pending.

The same is accordingly disposed of by directing the concerned officer of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation to take necessary steps to consider the application of the petitioner, strictly in accordance with law, within a period of ten weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

The said respondent shall pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

WPA 11084 of 2020 stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on completion of usual formalities.
