Pursuant to the order dated January 5, 2021, the Officer-in-Charge, Santipur Police Station files a report, which is taken on record.

It appears from the said report that the concerned Investigating Officer went to the residence of the petitioner several times to meet the petitioner to make an enquiry in connection with the complaint lodged by the petitioner. The report further indicates that the petitioner was not available at the residence on all such occasions for which no enquiry could be made. Such fact is, however, denied by the learned advocate for the petitioner.

However, the learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is all along interested in cooperating with the police authority and he proposes a date and time when the petitioner shall meet the Officer-in-Charge of the Santipur Police Station. The learned advocate proposes that the petitioner shall meet the Officer-in-Charge of the Santipur Police Station on April 12, 2021 at or about 5 p.m. along with a copy of the written complaint dated December 10, 2020 and such proposal is accepted by Mr. Banerjee, learned Senior Advocate for the State. It is expected that the police authorities will perform their statutory duties. In view thereof, nothing further remains to be decided in the instant writ petition. Accordingly, WPA 11201 of 2020 is disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all legal formalities.
