Dutta, Mr. Santanu Deb Roy ...... for the State Mr. Chakraborti, learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioner no.1 is the husband and the petitioner no.2 is the mother-in-law of the deceased. The victim lady committed suicide above 11⁄2 years after the marriage was solemnized. The other co-accused persons have already been enlarged on bail. Upon completion of investigation chargesheet has also been filed and further detention of the petitioner no.1 who is in custody for 169 days and the petitioner no.2 who is in custody for 160 days, is not required. Mr. Dutta, learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the petitioners' prayer and draws our attention to several documents in the case diary.

Having heard the learned advocates and considering the materials in the case diary, the nature of allegations and the extent of complicity of the petitioners in the alleged offence, we are of the opinion that further detention of the petitioners is not necessary.

Accordingly, we direct that the petitioners namely Sachin Ghosh and Namita Ghosh alias Jhulan Ghosh shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-I, Lalbagh, Murshidabad.

The application being C.R.M. 10897 of 2020 is, accordingly, allowed.
