The first two pages of the list of successful candidate dated 5th March, 2017 along with the recruitment notice dated 16th January, 2014 are kept with the record.

The petitioner participated in the recruitment process for Group "D" post advertised by the High Court on 16th January, 2014. About 70 vacancies in reserved as well as unreserved posts were to be filled up. The petitioner participated in the examination as well as the re-examination process. He admittedly has secured 49 marks.

Counsel for the High Court Administration submits a list of 110 candidates serially, the last of which obtained 89 marks.

Even assuming it is accepted for the sake of argument that the petitioner may have secured more

than 49 marks, he comes nowhere near the 70th candidate, who has secured 90 marks. The candidate who secured the first position has obtained 98 marks. The petitioner's claims are, thus, illusory and speculative.

For the reasons stated hereinabove, no order can be passed in this writ petition. The instant writ petition shall stand dismissed.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order on usual undertakings.
