And In Re : Kartick Saha & Another
...Petitioners.
Mr. Prabir Majumder ... for the petitioners.
Ms. Sukanya Bhattacharya, Md. Kutubuddin ... for the State.
The learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioner no.1 is the father-in-law and the petitioner no.2 is the mother-in-law of the victim lady. They have been falsely implicated and there is no incriminating material against the petitioners.
Upon completion of investigation, charge-sheet has also been filed and as such, further detention of the petitioners, who are in custody for 101 days, is not necessary. He further submits that the husband of the victim lady is in custody and the petitioner no.1 is more than sixty years of age and the age of the petitioner no.2 is 48. The learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the petitioners' prayer and draws our attention to several documents in the case diary.
Having heard the learned advocates and considering the materials on record, post-mortem report and the incriminating
statements attributable to the petitioners, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners at this stage.
In view thereof, the application for bail, being CRM No.10950 of 2020, is rejected.
