The petitioner is in custody for 257 days and prays for bail. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he has been falsely implicated due to rivalry with police personnel. The State produces the case diary and opposes the prayer for bail.
It appears from the materials on record that the contraband articles of more than commercial quantity were recovered from the possession of the petitioner. In view of the statutory restrictions under Section 37 of the NDPS Act, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.
It is submitted on behalf of the State that charge-sheet has been submitted on 16.02.2020 and the chemical examination report has also been submitted on 15.02.2020. Considering the period of detention of the petitioner, the Trial Court is requested to take necessary steps for commencement of
