Singh, Mr. Arindam Das ....for the petitioner Mr. Saibal Bapuli, Ms. Sayanti Santra ...... for the State Mr. Singh, the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated. The allegations levelled against the petitioner are unfounded. Upon completion of investigation charge sheet has also been filed and as such further detention of the petitioner, who is in custody for more than 419 days, is not necessary. Mr. Bapuli, the learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the petitioner's prayer and draws our attention to the statements of the witnesses recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and the statement of the minor girls recorded under Section 164 of the Code.

Having heard the learned advocates and considering the materials in the case diary, the gravity of the offence, the nature of allegations and the extent of complicity of the petitioner in the alleged offence, we are not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail.

The application for bail being C.R.M. No.10999 of 2020 is, accordingly, dismissed.

The learned Trial Court is however directed to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment.
