The grievance of the writ petitioner is nonreceipt of pension despite being allowed to retire voluntarily from the post of Radio Operator with the C. R. P. F. The petitioner was allowed V. R. S. by order dated 14th October, 2019.

His initial Pension Payment Order (PPO) being No. 2390319319999 had to be cancelled and therefore a fresh PPO was in the process of being issued. The delay in issuing the fresh PPO has given rise to the writ petition.

Counsel for the CRPF submits that the fresh PPO in favour of the petitioner has been issued on 04.01.2021.

In those circumstances, the respondent no. 3 is directed to release all retiral benefits including pension and arrears thereof to the petitioner within a period of one month from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

It is made clear that in the event, current pension and arrears and other benefits are not released within the time stipulated hereinabove, the arrears shall carry interest at the rate of 9 per cent per annum from the date of retirement, which the petitioner shall be entitled to.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition is disposed of.

Let photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
