Ms. Bhattacharya, learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

Having regard to the fact that the trial of the case is at the fag-end and the prosecution witnesses have already been examined and dates are being fixed by the learned Magistrate and the fact that the petitioner was earlier represented through the learned advocate.

I am of the opinion that further detention of the petitioner is unwarranted.

Accordingly, the petitioner shall furnish bond of Rs.20,000/- with two sureties. If the petitioner is released pursuant to furnishing of the bond, then in that case the petitioner shall meet with the Officer-in-charge, Watganj Police Station twice a week till the judgement is delivered by the learned trial court.

Accordingly, CRM 11041 of 2020 is disposed of. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
