This is an application for bail in connection with English Bazar P.S. Case No. 591 of 2020 dated 20.07.2020 under Sections 498A/304B/34 of the Indian Penal Code at the behest of the petitioner.

Heard the learned advocate for the petitioner as well as the learned advocate for the State.

We have perused the materials on record including the case diary and we find that the incident happened within one year of marriage. We have also perused the post mortem report and the medical reports and on assessment of the nature and gravity of the offence as also the fact that the petitioner happens to be a history-sheeter, we are of the opinion that this is not a fit case for extending the benefit of

bail to the petitioner who happens to be the husband of the deceased. As such, the petitioner's prayer for bail is rejected. The application for bail, being CRM 11069 of 2020, is, thus, dismissed.
