Ct.No.42 C.R.R. 1879 of 2020 In the matter of:- Ranjit Singh @ Kelo Mr. Sudip Gosh Chowdhury Mr. Argha Das Mr. Abhishek Bose ........for the petitioner Mr. Swapan Banerjee Mrs. Purnima Ghosh ......... for the State The learned advocate for the petitioner submits that although the petitioner is in custody since 17.8.2019 and after completion of investigation charge sheet has also been submitted by the Investigating Agency, the learned advocate for the petitioner is aggrieved by the period of detention of the petitioner. It has also been submitted that the next date is fixed for consideration of charge on 05.01.2021.

In view of the submission so advanced, the Special Court is directed to consider the stage of consideration of charge on 05.01.2021 or within a fortnight from the said date. The learned Court, if it feels fit and proper for charge to be framed would thereafter expedite the progress of the trial so that the same can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations CRR 1879 of 2020 is disposed of.
