-versus- The State of West Bengal In the matter of : An application under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure filed on 22nd December, 2020 in connection with NDPS Case No. 26/2020 arising out of Rishra P. S. Case No. 46 of 2020 dated 10-06-2020 under Section 21(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge cum Judge Special Court, Hooghly(In Charge).

The report so called for has been submitted by Investigating Officer of Rishra P.S through the learned advocate for the State. Let the same be kept with the record. The record reflects that supplementary chargesheet has been filed before the learned special court. The petitioners are in custody since 10th June, and the supplementary chargesheet has been submitted, the learned trial court as such within a

reasonable period of time should fix date for the stage of consideration of charge.

It has been submitted that the next date is fixed on 18.01.2020.

In view of the same, the learned trial court would take steps for consideration of charge within a week from 18-01-2021 and thereafter fix dates on regular intervals so that the trial can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 1886 of 2020 is disposed of.
