The petitioners have filed the present writ petitions alleging inaction on the part of the police regarding investigation on complaints lodged by the petitioners.
In view of the identity of causes of action, the matters are taken up for hearing together.
Learned counsel for the private respondent nos.7 and 8 hands up copies of final reports which have been filed before the concerned magistrate, as per counsel's submission, in connection with the criminal proceeding going on in that respect.
It appears from the said final reports that in view of filing of the same, there is no scope for further direction in the present writ petitions. In view of the conclusion of the investigation, no useful purpose will be sub-served in keeping the writ petitions pending. Accordingly, WPA No.11708 of 2020, WPA No.11709 of 2020, WPA No.11713 of 2020 and WPA No.11735 of 2020 are dismissed as infructuous. However, the petitioners shall be at liberty to take appropriate steps before a competent forum in the event the petitioners have any grievance with the end-result of the criminal proceeding before the concerned Magistrate.
There will be no order as to costs.
