The petitioner submits that after expiry of the permit in respect of his vehicle bearing No.WB-04F-5673, which was effective for five years and expired on 4th March, 2019, the petitioner has paid the application and permit fees through the challan vide TR-7 Challan No.1840/6898 dated 29th January, 2019 and towards these fees a sum of Rs.25,500/-(Rupees twenty five thousand five hundred only) has already been paid. Mr. Sen, learned advocate appearing for the respondent authorities, submits that from the documents annexed to the petition, it is found that the amount has been deposited in the treasury. However, whatever be the case, the petitioner's contention is that despite complying all the formalities for renewal of permit, it has not been done till date. He made one application for the

same annexing all relevant documents on 30th January, 2019, which is Annexure 'P-3' at page 13 of the writ application.

Mr. Sen in his usual fairness prays for three weeks time to look into the matter by his client being the State Transport Authority, Government of West Bengal. Therefore, on the basis of the submissions and documents annexed in the writ application, I direct the Secretary, State Transport Authority, Government of West Bengal, to decide the matter within a period of three weeks from the date of communication of this order. Since the Secretary, State Transport Authority, Government of West Bengal, has not been made party to the instant writ application, leave is granted to the learned advocate for the petitioner to add the Secretary as a party respondent immediately here and now so that the order passed by this court today can be complied with. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
