Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today by the Counsel for the petitioners be taken on record. The petitioners claim to have applied for the post of Anganwari Worker before the Child Development Project Officer, Taldangra in the district of Bankura pursuant to an advertisement dated 20th October, 2009.
The process of recruitment was undertaken and completed sometime in July, 2010 without declaring the results therefor or publishing any panel thereunder.
The petitioners made a representation in October 2020 in this regard through their learned Advocate. It is submitted that the respondents have initiated a fresh process of recruitment.
This Court notes that the petitioners have been inactive for ten long years. The claims of the petitioners are barred for the principles of delay and latches.
In view of the above, no relief can be granted to the writ petitioners in this writ application. The instant writ application must fail and is hereby dismissed.
There will be no order as to costs.
All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order on usual undertakings.
