Rejected CRM 11290 of 2020 (Through Video Conference) In Re: - An application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Burwan P.S. Case No.203 of 2018 dated 13.06.2018 under Sections 489(B)/489(C) of the Indian Penal Code.

For the State The petitioner has been charged under Sections 489(B)/489(C) of the Indian Penal Code and has been in custody for over two years. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is around 17 years old and is required to be released on bail. Learned counsel for the State-respondent submits that 14 fake currency notes were found in the custody of the petitioner and the trial with regard to the above offence is about to reach culmination. In such circumstances, considering the nature of crime committed by the petitioner, it would not be prudent to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

Accordingly, CRM 11290 of 2020 is dismissed.
