1. The order passed by the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Cooch Behar dated 6th March, 2023 is impugned in the instant writ petition. The same records that the mother of the petitioner was affected by construction of the road but as she could not produce the documents against the claim for compensation no order could be passed.

2. The impugned order records that payment of compensation cannot be made until valid document is produced.

3. Report filed by the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Cooch Behar is taken on record.

4. It will be open for the petitioner to produce valid document in support of his claim before the concerned authority.

5. If the petitioner is able to satisfy the authority with his claim for receiving compensation, then steps shall be taken to disburse compensation in favour of the petitioner in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of 12 weeks from the date of submission of all documents.

6. The writ petition stands disposed of.

7. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of usual legal formalities.
