Affidavit of service filed by the petitioner is taken on record.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that although similarly circumstanced teachers were appointed to the post of Headmaster / Headmistress, the petitioner was left out. Accordingly, the petitioner made a representation before the Executive Director, Education Department, GTA, Darjeeling as also the District Education of Schools, Secondary Education, Kalimpong praying for approval to the appointment at the post of permanent Headmaster / Headmistress. The same was received by the authorities on 30th December, 2024, but no responce has been forthcoming.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondents / G.T.A. denies the allegations and submits that in the event such a

representation remains pending consideration, the same shall be considered in accordance with law.

The State is also represented.

It appears that the representation of the petitioner, received by the authorities on 30th December 2024 and praying for approval to the post of permanent Headmaster / Headmistress, is pending consideration.

In view of the above, let the respondent no. 2 consider the said representation in accordance with law and as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. It is clarified that the merits of the case have not been gone into.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for be given to the parties upon completion of requisite formalities.
