The petitioner alleges that in spite of lodging complaints before the officer-in-charge NJP Police Station vide letters dated 7th March, 2019, the Police authorities are sitting tight over the matter and have not taken any steps on the basis of the said complaiants.

By an order dated 5th April, 2019, the Officer-incharge, NJP Police Station was directed to submit a report after investigating the matter.

The learned advocate appearing on behalf of the State submits that the report of the Officer-in-charge NJP Police Station based on the investigation carried out by him has been filed. From the said report it appears that a specific case vide NJP Police Station Case No.196/19 dated 13th March, 2019 under Sections 447/425/34 of the Indian penal Code has also been initiated and the said inspector is investing the said case.

From the said report it however, appears that the petitioner was carrying on construction work at the site at the time of holding the investigation by the concerned Officer-in-charge and there was no disturbance caused to the petitioner while he was carrying on the construction work at the site at the relevant point of time.

After hearing the submission of the learned advocates of the respective parties and after going through the materials on record as well as the report of the Officer-in-charge, NJP Police Station, I am of the opinion that no further order need be passed in the instant writ petition giving direction upon the Police authorities as specific case has been registered by the Police Authorities and the same is under investigation. Thus the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed. However, it is expected that the Police authorities shall perform their statutory duties in accordance with law.

The writ petition is disposed of without any order as to costs.
