In re : Lalit Roy & Anr.................petitioners Mr. Tapas Ghosh..............for the petitioners Mr. Ujjal Lucksom Mr. Sagnik Sikdar.... ... for the State The petitioners (the husband and father-in-law of the victim) are seeking bail in connection with Rajganj Police Station F.I.R. No. 12 of 2019 dated 15.01.2019 under sections 498A/302/304B of the Indian Penal Code.

We have heard the learned advocates for the parties and perused the materials in the case diary including the statements recorded under section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and the post-mortem report of the victim.

Considering the period of detention of the petitioners and the fact that the police report (charge-sheet) under section 173(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure is yet to be submitted, we are of the view that this is not a proper case for grant of direction, as prayed for.
