The allegation of the petitioner is that he has retired from service of North Bengal State Transport Corporation (NBSTC) as a driver on 31st October, 2016. His pension was paid on 13th February, 2020 and gratuity and leave salary was paid on 8th January, 2020. Now he prays for interest of delayed payment of pension, gratuity and leave salary.

Nobody appears for NBSTC despite notice.

I direct the Chairman, NBSTC being respondent no. 2 to pay the interest @7% per annum from the date of his retirement till date of payment within a period of eight weeks from the date of service of copy of this order.

The petitioner is directed to serve a copy of this order upon the said respondent no. 2 forthwith.
