Mr. Nilay Chakraborty ... for the State Heard Mr. Chowdhury, learned counsel representing the petitioner and Mr. Chakraborty, learned counsel representing the State. Perused the order no. 25 dated 21.8.2021 which was passed in connection with an application filed by the petitioner seeking interim custody of the seized vehicle. Learned Trial Court, however, did not pass any speaking order.

Under such circumstances, order no. 25 dated 21.8.2021 is quashed.

Liberty is given to the petitioner to approach the learned Trial Court with a prayer for interim custody afresh. Learned Trial Court is requested to pass a speaking order instead of dismissing the application by recording the objection of the police authority in one sentence.

With these observations, the criminal revision is disposed of. Let a copy of the order sheet be sent down to the learned Trial Court for information and necessary action.
