It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is the husband of the victim and was residing at his place of business away from the residence of the victim for quite some time. Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and refers to the injury report of the victim. Having considered the materials on record and in view of the fact that the serious allegation of torture which is supported by medical documents, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
