The writ petitioner in this case is an aged lady, who sought police protection to bring back her divorcee and ailing son from the private respondent nos. 6 and 7 who are the grand-daughters of the petitioner.

Having regard to the somewhat peculiar facts involved in this case, brushing aside the question of maintainability of the writ petition, by an interim order dated March 15, 2021, parties were persuaded to make arrangements so that the petitioner can visit his son on the next date.

Pursuant to the said order, on March 16, 2021, the petitioner visited his bedridden son at the residence of the private respondents.

A report has been filed today on behalf of the private respondent nos. 6 and 7 which reveals that the

visitation took place in a congenial atmosphere. The writ petitioner shared some intimate moments with her son and the private respondents rendered all cooperation to facilitate the visit. The photographs annexed to the report suggest that all family members were happy with the reunion of the mother and the son.

Fortunately, it appears that the animosity amongst the parties has faded away and a cordial, congenial and happy relationship amongst them has been restored. The private respondents being the grand-daughters of the petitioner, there should be an unconditional joy and love in their relationship with the petitioner. The petitioner being an old and infirm lady should not be deprived of the company of his ailing son.

This writ petition is disposed of with the expectation that the disputes amongst the parties will be resolved mutually without taking recourse to any adversarial litigation.

Accordingly, WPA 93 of 2021 is disposed of without any order as to costs.

Certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be immediately made available to the learned advocates appearing for the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
