Heard the learned Advocates appearing on behalf of the parties.

The petitioners have filed the instant anticipatory bail apprehending arrest in connection with Mekhliganj Police Station Case No. 44 of 2019 dated 09.02.2019 (G.R. Case No. 75 of 2019) for commission of offence punishable under Sections 498A/304B of the Indian Penal Code.

The daughter in-law of the petitioner no. 3 and the sister in-law of the petitioner nos. 1 and 2 died within eight months from the date of her marriage. According to the prosecution, she was forced to commit suicide because of the torture having inflicted upon her by the petitioners as well as

her husband. It is not in dispute that the husband of the deceased is already in custody.

After perusing the case diary and the statements recorded therein, we do not find that it is a fit case where the petitioners should be granted anticipatory bail. The application for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is, thus, rejected.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
