The petitioner claims to be a senior citizen and is apprehensive that the private respondents will evict him without the due process of law.

Learned advocate representing the private respondents submits, relying upon the documents annexed to the writ petition, that the petitioner has filed a proceeding under the Maintenance & Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007. The allegation of the petitioner apprehending eviction without due process of law has been refuted by the private respondents.

Learned advocate representing the State respondents submits, upon instruction that, in response to the complaint filed by the petitioner before the police, necessary proceeding has been initiated in accordance

with law. Charge-sheet has also been filed against the concerned persons.

This Court is of the view that, in the event the petitioner apprehends eviction without due process of law, it will be open for the petitioner to approach the competent Court for relief. The writ Court is not the competent forum to grant the relief in the manner as sought for by the petitioner.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
