The petitioner intends to obtain information of the persons whose names have been recorded in the Record of Rights in respect of certain plots of land. The order dated January 18, 2023 records the names of the persons in whose favour the LR Plot Nos. 512,513,508,506 and 505 corresponding to RS Khaitan Nos. 912,913 in Dabgram Sheet Nos. 4 & 5 are recorded.

The petitioner filed representation before the BL&LRO, Rajganj Block and submits that the same has not been considered till date.

Learned advocate representing the respondents submits that the petitioner may obtain the details of the recorded owners of the land by filing application for obtaining certified copy of the documents in connection with the mutation cases pursuant to which the names of the owners have been recorded.

Upon hearing the parties it appears that apart from filing representation for obtaining necessary information and documents, the petitioner is yet to file any application for obtaining certified copy of the documents or any application under the Right to Information Act for collecting information.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by observing that it will open to the petitioner to make appropriate application for obtaining information under the Right to Information Act or if required, for obtaining certified copy of the relevant documents from the competent authority.

The writ petition stands disposed.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
