The petitioner applied under the Right to Information Act, 2005 for obtaining certain information from the Gram Panchayat. The petitioner is not satisfied with the information provided by the Senior Director (I) & Public Information Officer and has filed the instant writ petition for relief.

The Court is of the opinion that if the petitioner is dissatisfied with the information provided by the Public Information Officer, the petitioner should have approached the appellate forum for relief.

The writ petition, at this stage, will not be maintainable in view of the specific provisions in the Right to Information Act, 2005.

In view of the above, the writ petition stands disposed of. It would be open for the petitioner to approach the appellate forum for relief.
