The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher in Sanskrit and he is serving in Angrabhasa Banshibadan High School (XII), Sajnapara, Jalpaiguri. He submitted an application for transfer on the medical ground of his wife. The said application was registered in the Utsashree portal of the State Government vide registration number Y17271RW. The same is presently pending consideration before the West Bengal Central School Service Commission.

The petitioner prays for a direction upon the Commission to dispose of his application.

Reliance has been placed on an unreported order dated 24.11.2023 passed a co-ordinate Bench of this Court in WPA No. 2583 of 2023 (Nimai Mandal Vs. The State of West Bengal & Ors.) .

Learned advocate representing the Commission submits, upon instruction that, the Utsashree portal is presently suspended.

As it appears that the application for transfer submitted by the petitioner was duly registered in

August, 2022 and is pending consideration for a considerable period of time, accordingly, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Chairman, West Bengal Central School Service Commission to take a decision on the application filed by the petitioner in accordance with law, at the earliest but positively within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order. A decision shall be taken in the matter and communicated to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photo copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
