1. This is an application for relaxation of conditions for grant of anticipatory bail, imposed by an order dated April 30, 2024, on the ground that the petitioner's mother is seriously ill. He has been restrained from leaving the jurisdiction of Cooch Behar Kotwali police station. Investigation is in progress.

2. Learned advocate for the State submits that there is no adverse report against the petitioner.

3. Considering the averments in the application, we are satisfied that the condition is required to be modified on account of ailment of the petitioner's mother.

Accordingly, the application is disposed of with modification in paragraph 5 of the order dated April 30, 2024, to the extent that the petitioner will remain within the territorial jurisdiction of Cooch Behar Kotwali police station, but may leave the

jurisdiction of the said police station only to visit his ailing mother strictly with the permission of the investigating officer and on further condition that the petitioner will meet the investigating officer once in a fortnight till conclusion of the investigation. All other conditions as per the direction of the order dated April 30, 2024 shall remain unaltered.
