Mr. Debajit Kundu ...For the Petitioner Mr. Hirak Barman Mr. Momenur Rahman ...For the State Respondents This is an application under Article 226 of the akb Constitution of India wherein the writ petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondent authorities in considering the prayer of the petitioner with respect to the transfer of ownership of the vehicle and subsequent endorsement of the said vehicle in favour of the petitioner.

I have heard learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the parties and perused the materials placed on record. After having heard the learned Counsel, I direct the Additional Regional Transport Officer-cum-Registering Authority, Siliguri, to consider the prayer of the petitioner by treating this writ petition as the representation of the petitioner and thereafter pass a reasoned order within a period of two weeks from date. I make it clear that if the petitioner succeeds, all steps shall be taken with respect to the prayers made by the petitioner in his writ petition. The reasoned order should be communicated to petitioner within a week from the date of passing such reasoned order With the aforesaid observation the writ petition is disposed of.

Since, no affidavit-in-opposition has been called for, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have not been admitted by the respondents. There will be no order as to costs.
