Considering the involvement of the petitioner in the offence and the gravity of the offence, namely, that the petitioner is a named accused who committed rape on the victim lady and thereafter took a video of the same and blackmailed her with the video recording, we are not inclined to allow the prayer for anticipatory bail.
The application for anticipatory bail being CRM (A) 68 of 2024 is accordingly rejected.
