For the State Having considered the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure directly implicating the petitioner in the commission of the alleged offence and bearing in mind the complicity of the petitioner in the alleged offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. The application for bail being CRM 120 of 2021 and the application being CRAN 1 of 2021 are accordingly disposed of.

However, we direct the learned District Judge, Jalpaiguri to expedite framing of charges and thereafter, to proceed with the trial as expeditiously as possible.
