For the State The petitioners' prayer for bail was rejected by us on 21st August, 2023 but the learned Special Court was directed to conclude the trial preferably within 10 months from that date.

Although learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that there is considerable delay in progress of the trial, we are inclined to ask the petitioners to wait until 10 months are over which would be some time in June, 2024. The petitioners shall, of course, have liberty to approach the Court if there is little or no progress in the trial at the end of June, 2024. CRM(NDPS) 41 of 2024 is accordingly rejected. We make it clear that none of the parties before us will pray for any adjournment during the course of the trial.
