The instant appeal is arising out of a judgment and order dated 6th December, 2022, by which the Vice Chancellor of the University was directed to treat the writ petition as representation and decide the claim of the petitioner for moving to stage 2 in the pay grade after having completed five years of his service after obtaining Ph.D. degree.

In the appeal the appellant had challenged the order dated 05-01-2023, by which the Vice Chancellor of the University has disposed of the representation, inter alia, holding that the there will be eligibility for consideration after completion of 5 years of service as Assistant Professor (Stage 1). The Vice Chancellor has decided the matter in terms of the direction of the learned Single Judge. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the said decision, the remedy lies to challenge the said decision in accordance with law.

The appeal and the connected application accordingly stand dismissed without however, any order as to costs.

This however, shall not preclude the appellant to challenge the order of the Vice Chancellor in accordance with law.
