Saha, Mr. Ankan Mitra For the State The grievance of the petitioners is that the police is not taking any steps pursuant to the complaint lodged by him with regard to opening of the padlock in the main entrance of his residence. The petitioners allege that the padlock has been put by the private respondents, who are his wife and his in-laws. The petitioners submit that he visited the police station on several occasions but the police refused to cooperate with them in any manner whatsoever. The learned advocate representing the State respondent upon instructions submits that the police have duly enquired the matter. It transpires that there is a lock in the main entrance gate of the house of the
petitioners. The person who put the padlock, could not be traced.
It has been mentioned in the report that the petitioners were contacted over mobile phone wherefrom it was learnt that the petitioners are presently residing at Assam. The Inspector-in-Charge, Pradhannagar Police Station has assured that in the event the petitioners approach the police, they were ready to provide necessary assistance for their peaceful stay and for redressal of their grievances.
In view of the instructions given by the Inspectorin-Charge of the Pradhannagar Police Station, the instant writ petition is disposed of by giving liberty to the petitioners to approach the aforesaid Inspector-inCharge with their grievances. In the event, the petitioners approach the police, then necessary steps shall be taken by the Inspector-in-Charge, Pradhannagar Police Station for redressal of the grievances of the petitioners.
W.P.A. 277 of 2020 is disposed of.
The instructions given by the police to the learned advocate representing the State respondent is retained with the records.
