(Via Video Conference) Mr. Jakir Hossain, Mr. Shahan Shah ... for the petitioner Mr. Hirak Barman, Ms. Bedashruti Bose ... for the State The reasoned order dated 24th March, 2017 passed by the Secretary of the West Bengal Board of Primary Education is under challenge in the instant writ petition.

The petitioner appeared in the TET-2014 examination and failed to qualify the same. He prayed for reassessment.

The Secretary intimated the petitioner that the OMR sheets of TET-2014 have been evaluated properly and his result remains "not qualified". The petitioner was intimated that he could not be appointed because he did not qualify in the TET-2014 examination.

The grievance of the petitioner is that the Secretary did not disclose the marks obtained by him

in the TET examination. The reasoned order also does not disclose the marks obtained by the last empanelled candidate in the TET examination.

The submissions of the petitioner appear to be completely misconceived. Since the TET examination is not a competitive examination there is no question of panel being prepared and accordingly there is no scope for mentioning the marks obtained by the last empanelled candidate. Any candidate who qualifies in the TET examination becomes eligible to appear in the recruitment process initiated by the Board of Primary Education.

Moreover, the impugned order was passed way back on 24th March, 2017, and the same has been challenged in the year 2022.

The Court does not find any merits in the writ application to entertain the same.

In view of the above, the writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed.

Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.
