1. Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

2. The prayer of the petitioner for payment of solatium and interest on account of acquisition of the plot of land is pending consideration at the end of the Divisional Commissioner and Arbitrator under the National Highways Act, 1956.

3. Without entering into the merit of the claim of the petitioner, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the aforesaid authority being the respondent no. 6 herein to consider and dispose of the prayer of the petitioner in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

4. A reasoned order shall be passed by the aforesaid respondent and shall be communicated to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

5. If the claim of the petitioner is allowed, then necessary consequential steps for disbursement of solatium and interest, if any, shall be taken.

6. The writ petition stands disposed of.

7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
