Mr. Debabrata Dhar Mr. Subir Kumar Saha, ...for the State The writ petitioners submit that they were transporting the non-forest timber of about 407 logs from Alipurduar to Patna by vehicle no. BR-OI-GD 2757.

The said timber was seized along with vehicle at Muratigachi Check Post in Darjeeling.

Hearing of the said case is pending since 11th September, 2018.

The petitioners seek expeditious disposal of such hearing.

Hence it is ordered that the Case Registration No. 1848-15-5 dated 7th August, 2018 pertaining to the aforesaid seizure be disposed of by the D. F. O.,

Kurseong Division as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two months from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

The D. F. O., Kurseong shall pass a reasoned order after giving due hearing to the writ petitioner and/or his legal representative.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

No order as to costs.
