Report reflects that the police authorities of Sitai Police Station had been exhausting their efforts. But till date they are not successful in tracing out the son of the present petitioner.

Having considered that more than two years have passed since the initiation of the case, I am of the prima facie view that available infrastructure may not be available with the concerned police station. Accordingly let the investigation of Sitai PS Case No. 161 of 2022 dated 07.10.2022 be transferred to the Missing Persons Bureau, CID, Bhabani Bhaban, West Bengal.

The police authorities would before the learned ACJM II, Dinhata once in every month for the next six months submit a progress report.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 177 of 2024 is disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
