Heard the learned Advocates appearing on behalf of the parties.

The petitioners are in custody for more than eight months. The petitioners were arrested in connection with NDPS Case No. 50 of 2018 arising out of Kotwali Police Station Case No. 752 of 2018 dated 27.10.2019 for commission of offence punishable under Sections 20(b)/25 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act, 1985. According to the prosecution, the car was intercepted and the commercial quantity of 'Ganja' was recovered from the possession and custody of the petitioners.

After perusing the materials available in the case diary and the complicity of the petitioners in the alleged offence, we do not find that the petitioners should be enlarged on bail. The prayer for bail of the petitioners is, thus, rejected. However, we expect that the sessions trial shall be expedited by the Special Court and efforts shall be shown to bring to its logical end at the earliest.
