There is statutory presumption against the owner of the vehicle with regard to his culpable knowledge. In view of the aforesaid circumstances and the gravity of offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected. (Subhendu Samanta,J.)
