The writ application has been preferred praying for direction upon the respondents to restore the plots of land to the petitioner and the other legal heirs of late Latika Rani Mitra @ Latika Bala Mitra, at the earliest and to pay the compensation to the petitioner and the other legal heirs of late Latika Rani Mitra @ Latika Bala Mitra to be awarded under the provisions of Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.

In course of hearing, it appears that an information dated 11.07.2025 has been provided to the petitioner under the RTI Act, which prima

facie shows that compensation to which the petitioner is entitled has not been disbursed till date.

All these issues are part of the writ application which also has many other issues including restoration of land (plots) as prayed for by the petitioner.

The petitioner has admittedly preferred a representation dated 20.12.2025, which be taken up for consideration and disposal by the respondent no. 5, on hearing the petitioner and other stake holders and the same shall be disposed of by passing a reasoned order, in accordance with law, within 60 days from the date of communication of this order.

This Court has not gone into the merit of the writ application and the petitioner is at liberty to raise all the issues as raised in the writ application before the said concerned authority at the time of hearing.
