1. The petitioner is the son of the deceased lady who committed suicide due to the alleged torture inflicted on her by the petitioner and his wife.

2. The petitioner's name is clearly mentioned in the 164 statement given by the petitioner's sister/daughter of the deceased lady and the defacto complainant.

3. We are hence of the view that the petitioner's custodial interrogation is required.

4. The application for anticipatory bail being CRM(A) 164 of 2024 is accordingly rejected.
