After the assembly election 2021 a large number of persons assembled and caused arson in the village against the political opponents. As a result, a person died.

It is contended petitioners are not named in the FIR. Subsequently, in the course of subsequent investigation, their complicity has transpired.

Keeping in mind the involvement of the petitioners in the crime including murder, we are of the opinion this is not a fit case to grant bail to the petitioners.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected. (Subhendu Samanta,J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
