The present writ petition has been filed praying for a direction upon the police to act in a fair and impartial manner.

It appears from the report filed by the Inspector-inCharge, Falakata Police Station signed on February 26, 2023 that there are several police cases pending against the petitioner and charge sheet has also been filed in respect of one of such cases under Sections 376, 511 and 506 IPC.

The Court is not convinced with the submission made by the petitioner appearing in person. There is nothing on record to show that the police have acted in any manner contrary to law.

The police is directed to act strictly in accordance with law.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Report filed by the Inspector-in-Charge, Falakata Police Station be retained with the records.
