The appeal is directed against an order dated January 5, 2022 as corrected on January 7, 2022 passed in WPA 2086 of 2021.

By the impugned order, the learned judged directed the President, Bengal State Table Tennis Association to consider and dispose of the representation filed by the writ petitioner/private respondent on December 24, 2020 and its earlier representations by passing a reasoned order after giving an opportunity of hearing to the President and Secretary of the writ petitioners/private respondent association.

Learned advocate appearing for the appellants raises various issues with regard to the impugned order.

We are of the view that, since the learned judge directed consideration of representations of the writ petitioners/private respondent and disposal thereof by a speaking order of an opportunity of hearing, it would be appropriate to extend the time to do so in terms of the impugned order within four weeks from the date of this order. We clarify that the President, Bengal State Table Tennis Association will afford reasonable opportunity of hearing to the writ petitioners/private respondent and to any other parties that he deems appropriate. He is at liberty to consider such documents at the hearing as he deems appropriate. We will pass a reasoned order which he will communicate to the parties he heard as expeditiously as possible.

It would be open to the President, Bengal State Table Tennis Association to hear the contesting parties both on online and off-line modes as he deems appropriate.

MAT 24 of 2022 along with CAN 1 of 2022 are disposed of accordingly.
