The petitioners claim to be engaged as volunteer Assistant Teachers in different schools in the District of Darjeeling.

They claim that they are entitled to be absorbed as permanent teachers under the G.T.A. in the Schools in which they are working.

Without going into further details of the matter, the D.I. of Schools, Darjeeling, respondent No. 3 shall consider the request of the petitioners, treating the writ petition itself as a representation, preferably within a period of six months from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

The petitioners may be heard in persons or through legal representative. The 3rd respondent, the D.I. of School, Darjeeling shall pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the petitioner within a period of seven days thereof.

With the above observations, WPA 564 of 2021 is

disposed of.

Since, no affidavit-in-opposition has been called for, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have not been admitted by the respondents.

There will be no order as to costs.
